I had the pleasure of painting some of the new swamp orc characters. When they first came out I wasn't a fan. I felt the sculpts deviated too much from the original, cartoonish, fantasy orcs I grew up with and love. I still do, but the new orcs have grown on me a little, and these were fun to paint in almost exclusively oils.

These have been a long time coming. They were one of my original Blood Bowl teams from the - I want to say 3rd edition box set? I still love the quaint charm of the older, monopose models and wanted to give them a paint job to match.
These were an extensive test of slap-chop with refinement. I'm very happy with the result. Even stumpy, who lost his helmet spike many years ago, looks dashing.
